This is to officially inform all prospective candidates who selected Edo State University, Iyamho (ESUI) as their first-choice institution in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), and scored 150 and above, that registration for the 2026/2027 Post-UTME and Direct Entry (DE) Screening Exercise has commenced.
The University has also opened applications for qualified Direct Entry candidates seeking admission into various undergraduate programmes for the new academic session.
According to the admission timetable, registration opened on Friday, June 12, 2026, and will close on Monday, August 31, 2026.
Candidates interested in gaining admission into Edo State University are advised to begin their registration early and complete all required documentation before the deadline.
Edo State University Post-UTME 2026 Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for the screening exercise, candidates must satisfy the following requirements:
- Must have participated in the 2026 UTME examination.
- Must score at least 150 and also meet the approved departmental cut-off mark.
- Must possess the required O’Level credits according to the JAMB Brochure.
- Must choose Edo State University, Iyamho as first-choice institution.
- Direct Entry candidates must have completed JAMB DE registration.
- Candidates must be at least 16 years old on or before September 30, 2026.
Candidates who did not initially choose ESUI as first choice may still apply provided they scored at least 150 and complete a Change of Institution through JAMB CAPS before starting the application.
Only applicants who upload their WAEC, NECO, NABTEB or equivalent O’Level results to JAMB CAPS on or before August 31, 2026, will be considered for admission.

Edo State University Post-UTME Registration Fee
The approved application fees are:
- UTME & Direct Entry Screening Fee — ₦2,000 (Non-refundable)
- Transfer Application Fee — ₦60,000 (Non-refundable)
All payments must be processed strictly through Remita on the official university website.
Applicants are strongly advised not to make payments to private individuals or unofficial accounts.

Nature of Screening Exercise
Physical Screening (On-Campus)
Candidates applying for:
- Medicine and Surgery
- Nursing
- Law
will sit for a physical Post-UTME screening examination.
Dates and venue details will be communicated later.
Online Screening
All other programmes will undergo online screening based on:
- Verified JAMB scores
- Uploaded O’Level results on JAMB CAPS
Direct Entry applicants are also screened online except applicants into Medicine, Nursing and Law.
