- Have a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.5 in a 5-point scale or its equivalent.
- Provide a copy of the Admission Letter into the relevant course of study in a Nigerian University.
- Provide a copy of the student’s Identification Card (ID).
- Provide a copy of the student’s Passport Photograph.
- Provide a copy of the student’s Transcript or Results.
- Have a minimum of six O-level credits in one sitting.

Introducing the NNPC/Chevron Joint Venture Scholarships for Blind/Visually Impaired Students in Nigerian Universities
Are you a second-year (200 level) degree student who is blind or visually impaired? The NNPC/Chevron Joint Venture has exciting scholarship opportunities just for you! Regardless of your field of study, you can apply for this prestigious scholarship program.
Eligibility Criteria:
To be eligible for the NNPC/Chevron JV scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Minimum CGPA: Applicants must have a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.5 on a 5.0 scale or its equivalent in other grade systems.
- O-level Credits: A minimum of five O-level credits is required.
Please note that if you are applying for the NNPC/CNL JV scholarship, you cannot apply for any other scholarship program sponsored by Chevron Nigeria Limited, its Joint Venture Partners, or any of its affiliates. This includes the Agbami scholarship program, which is being offered simultaneously with the NNPC/CNL JV scholarship program.

Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you apply for the scholarship:
Step 1: Prepare the Required Documents
Before you start the application process, make sure you have clear scanned copies of the following documents:
- Recent passport photograph (not more than 6 months old) – dimensions: 450px by 450px, size: not more than 200kb
- School ID card
- Admission letter
- Birth certificate
- O’ Level result
- JAMB result
- Local Government Area letter of identification
Ensure that each document is named appropriately to avoid any confusion during the upload process.
Step 2: Start the Application
To apply for the scholarship, visit the following link: https://candidate.scholastica.ng/schemes/2023cnlawards, and follow these steps:
- Click on the “Apply Now” tab.
- Create an account by clicking on “Register Now.”
- Activate your account by following the instructions sent to your email.
- Return to the scholarship site using https://candidate.scholastica.ng/schemes/2023CNLawards.
- Log in with your registered email and password to upload your information.
- Provide your personal information, including your National Identification Number (if available), educational details, and any other required information. Also, upload the scanned copies of the documents mentioned earlier.
- Ensure that the names used in your application match the names on all your documents in the same order. If there are any discrepancies, you must upload a sworn affidavit or certificate as proof.

- If National Identification Number (NIN) number was not available in step 6, to obtain your National Identification Number (NIN), follow these step below, for proper documentation.
Step 1: Visit the Official Website To begin the registration process, head over to the official website at http://ninenrol.gov.ng. This website provides all the necessary information and resources you need to register for your NIN.
Step 2: Create an Account Once you’re on the website, locate the “Create Account” button and click on it. Fill in all the required fields with accurate information. Double-check your details to ensure they are correct before proceeding.
Step 3: Login to Complete the Form After creating your account, log in using your email address and password. This will give you access to the registration form. Complete the form by providing the requested information accurately. Make sure to review your entries for any errors or omissions before submitting.
Step 4: Schedule a Date for Photo and Fingerprint Capture Once you’ve completed the form, it’s time to schedule a date for your photo and fingerprint capture. This step is essential to finalize your registration process. Follow the instructions provided on the website to select a suitable date and time for your capture session.
Step 5: Visit a Capture Centre To complete the registration process and obtain your National Identity Number, you’ll need to visit one of the 37 capture centres listed on the official NIMC website (http://www.nimc.gov.ng/?q=nin-registration-centres). Choose a centre that is convenient for you and make sure to bring all the required documents and information as specified on the website.
Step 6: Complete the Registration at the NIMC Office Alternatively, you can choose to complete your total registration at the NIMC office. This option may be more suitable for those who prefer a centralized registration process. Check the NIMC website for the office address and other relevant details.
Step 7: Update Your Application with NIN Once you’ve obtained your National Identity Number (NIN), it’s crucial to update your application on www.scholastica.ng. Log in to your account and provide your NIN to ensure the completion of your application. Remember, failure to update your application with the NIN may result in a disqualification penalty from the Scholarship board. So make sure you don’t miss this step!
Important Note: Please be aware that applications for the National Identity Number (NIN) will only be accepted through the official website provided.
