UNN Community Development Service Education (CDSE) Programme 2024/2025
The Zion Empowerment Arena for the Needy Initiative (ZEANI), in partnership with the University of Nigeria (UNN) Nsukka Community Development Service Education (CDSE), offers a comprehensive school and apprenticeship programme.
This initiative collaborates with the Centre for Technical, Vocational Education, Training and Research (CETVETAR) under the Faculty of Vocational Technical Education (VTE) at UNN Nsukka. Led by Professor J.A. Okonze, the Centre benefits from the support of Professor E.O. Anaele, the Dean of the Faculty.

Regulated by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) and endorsed by the Enugu State Ministry of Education, our programme partners with local universities, state ministries of education, and federal government agencies.
We reach out to youth in local communities, offering both scholarship and non-scholarship programmes.
These Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programmes cover various trades at ordinary craft and advanced craft levels, aimed at securing gainful employment for participants.

About the CDSE Programme
The CDSE programme is designed for:
- Candidates motivated to overcome poverty through formal apprenticeship education.
- Those who prefer technical and vocational-oriented schools.
- Individuals with informal technical knowledge or rudimentary skills who need certifications and legal identity to practice.
- Candidates who wish to progress through craftsmanship and technician levels before advancing to engineering or becoming technical and vocational education teachers.
- Individuals, with or without formal education, who need technical training to fit into professional roles.
- Persons seeking employment with ordinary craft level and advanced craft level qualifications.
- Tertiary institution graduates, artisans, and tradespersons looking to enhance their technical knowledge.
- JAMB candidates seeking indirect and direct entry admissions to the University of Nigeria Nsukka and other Nigerian higher institutions with our qualifications.

2024/2025 Admissions for Technical Skills Programme
This Admission is for Licensed Technicians and Crafts Persons

Application Process:
- Application Fee: Candidates are required to pay the application fee through Paystack, our secure payment gateway, accessible from our official website. The fee varies based on the chosen qualification.
- Secure Payment: Paystack ensures a secure payment process, allowing applicants to pay with their cards without any risk of financial scams or fraud.
- Application Proof: After payment, print the evidence of your application from the email used during registration.
Registration Fee: Only admitted candidates will need to pay a registration fee to collect the requisite training items.
This can be done at the ZEANI-UNN Community Development Service Education (CDSE) physical office located at the African Development Fund (ADF) Building, Faculty of Vocational & Technical Education, University of Nigeria Nsukka, and other designated centers.
Admission Batches:
- First Batch: Qualified applicants will be admitted based on carrying capacity and quality control.
- Second Batch: Those not admitted in the first batch will be considered for the second batch.
