Benue State University of Agriculture, Science and Technology (BSUAST), Ihugh, has received official approval from the National Universities Commission (NUC) to introduce thirty-four new academic programmes starting from the 2025/2026 academic session. This development marks a major step in expanding academic opportunities for students and strengthening BSUAST’s position as a centre of excellence in agriculture, science, and technology.
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Qrisstuberg Amua, described the approval as a significant milestone for the university, emphasizing that the programmes are designed to provide broad-based learning combining scientific knowledge, technical expertise, and entrepreneurial skills. The initiative aims to prepare graduates capable of tackling national and global challenges in agriculture, health, digital technology, and environmental management.
