The University of Lagos (UNILAG), together with partner universities from the United Kingdom, Scotland, and China, invites qualified candidates to apply for the School of Foundation Studies for the 2025/2026 academic session. Successful candidates may gain Direct Entry admission into the 200 Level of degree programs at the University of Lagos or at partner institutions including University of Bedfordshire, University of Central Lancashire, University of the West of England, De Montfort University Leicester, University of Birmingham, University of Nottingham, University of Surrey, University of Salford, Southampton, University of Aberdeen, University of Dundee, and Soochow University, Suzhou China.
The program offers a one-year intensive course aligned with the JUPEB syllabus. It operates strictly as a non-residential program and does not currently have facilities for visually impaired students

Admission Requirements
Applicants must have a minimum of five credits including English Language and Mathematics in one sitting from SSCE, WASSC, GCE O/L, or NECO. All results must be available before registration.
Application Procedure
Visit the School of Foundation Studies website at foundation.unilag.edu.ng for detailed information about the application process. Proceed to applications.unilag.edu.ng and select the School of Foundation Studies under the prospective student menu.
Complete the Pre-Application Form with accurate details to generate a Payment Reference Number. Pay the non-refundable application fee of thirty-five thousand Naira at any commercial bank using the Payment Reference Number.
Return to the application portal, log in with the Payment Reference Number as username and surname in lowercase as password. Complete the application form and print two copies for your records.
Important Dates and Examination Details
Applications open on Monday, May 26, 2025 and close on Friday, August 15, 2025.
The entrance examination will hold on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at the Distance Learning Institute, University of Lagos.
The examination uses a computer-based test format with multiple-choice questions. It covers Mathematics and English Language with twenty questions each, and three other relevant subjects with fifteen questions each. Candidates have forty-five minutes to complete eighty-five questions in total.
Candidates with Mathematics in their subject combination must select Further Mathematics in the examination.
Results and merit admission lists will be published on unilag.edu.ng and foundation.unilag.edu.ng.
Admission depends on available capacity for each program. Success in the JUPEB examination does not guarantee admission to a preferred course.
The University reserves the right to use additional assessment methods where necessary.
